North East Life Art Project is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including disabled visitors and those using assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, in line with the European Accessibility Act and UK accessibility expectations.

1. What we do

• Use clear, readable text with strong colour contrast.
• Provide descriptive alt text for meaningful images in our gallery and pages.
• Structure pages with proper headings and semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate them.
• Make the site keyboard-navigable, with visible focus states.
• Label all form fields clearly and describe any input errors.
• Use a responsive layout that works on phones, tablets and desktops, and supports text zoom.

2. Known limitations

We're always improving. Some third-party or embedded content (such as Eventbrite booking widgets or maps) may not be fully accessible, and we'll keep working to improve any areas that fall short.
